Every child is unique. Children develop at their own pace, and in their own way. It is important, however, to track the development of your child against what is considered within the scope of normal.

At Pediatrics at the Meadows, there are five primary areas of development that we track:
1. Cognitive / Thinking
2. Social and Emotional
3. Speech and Language
4. Fine and Gross Motor
5. Activities for Daily Living
Tracking your child's development can help identify any developmental delays. A developmental delay isn't just being a little behind what is considered normal, but rather, is marked by a severe lag.
At Pediatrics at the Meadows, we utilize information provided by the Center for Disease Control, as well as our Ages and Stages Questionnaire. We ask that, prior to any wellness visit, parents take a moment to fill out this questionnaire. This form will give us insight into your child and how they are developing.
If you suspect that your child is behind where they should be, please come speak with us. We will be happy to address your concerns, and help guide you in better understanding your child.
Early intervention is the key to help children develop skills!
